Go to the boat ramp first to drop off any gear & guests, then head to 124th Ave to park in front of the bench on the canal side.

If parking is full, you can park at the end of 120th Avenue on the grass lot.

This will show you where you depart from, where to return to the ramp, and the areas you can explore. You’ll also see how easy the paddle is.

PADDLING TO & FROM ISLANDS
Please look at the map image. It’s an easy 20-minute paddle to the islands!

You’ll depart from the Kitchen area on the map (our boat ramp) and paddle up the canal to Eleanor Island. Enter the mangrove tunnel from the south side of Eleanor Island. The small opening is at the end of the canal. The sandbar, where you can set up your chairs and snorkel, is on the front side of the island facing John’s Pass Bridge. Do NOT paddle near John’s Pass shops or the bridge—the current is very strong!

When you’re done and ready to head back:

Paddle directly left of the huge John’s Pass Marina sign to return to the canal that leads to the boat ramp.

Do not let your phone shut off!
Call or text your guide at 813-527-5822 at least 30 minutes before you leave the island so he can meet you at the ramp.

PADDLE INSTRUCTIONS VIDEO
Please forward this to everyone in your party!

We are in calm, protected waterways with no waves, but if you’ve never been kayaking or are a beginner, please watch this short instructional video:
